How about a Deckfight Bosworth Ross mash-up with a nice dollop of love for I Am Richard Simmons? Well that, and a ml press {first year} shout-out?

We thought this might be your cup of tea. And here's what we have. The most excellent Deckfight gave the always well bearded Mel Bosworth a the chance to riff on the five best things he has recently read. He not only gave a very generous shout-out to our ml press chapbook I Am Richard Simmons - feel free to read the below excerpt - but to the quite fine and recently blurbed here Charactered Pieces by Caleb J. Ross as well. We are quite appreciative. We also think Mel has quite good taste. We would add, that you may also be interested in one, re-reading TBWCYL, Inc. spokesperson Ben Tanzer's five best recently things read list, and if you are enjoy, and two, we want to let you know that we just received our copy of the ml press {first year} anthology and it is lovely, really lovely, and something we think you might want to order because we are fairly confident that it just might change your life. A lot.

"I carried this MLP chapbook in my pocket for a while to whip out whenever I ran into anyone. I may have scared a person or two, rummaging around in my front pocket, saying things like, “You’ve gotta see this!” but overall things went well. No face slaps."

Weren't you just saying how much you wished you knew what we thought were the five best things we read recently? We thought so.

We are unabashed fans of Deckfight's "Friday Five" and so you can imagine how excited we were when Deckfight asked TBWCYL, Inc. spokesperson Ben Tanzer to share the five best things he read recently. You can find the first item on our list below and for the rest, please do hit the Deckfight, as we think it just might change your life.

"Protects minor cuts, scrapes & burns." This was on the label of a very dusty 3.75 OZ. container of Vaseline I bought at a truck stop in Michigan. I'm not sure why other people need to buy Vaseline at truck stops in Michigan, but I was having some chafing issues and I should probably leave it at that.

Stuff.

Maybe its the work travel. Or the fact that we have been so self-absorbed lately. It could just be the fact that we have been unable to concentrate on anything but the once imminent now very real release of New Moon. But things have been missed, stuff has been overlooked and an array of TBWCYL, Inc. favorites have not received the airspace here they deserve. We however intend to fix that like now:

(1) Sally Weigel the author of Too Young to Fall Asleep recently did a fine interview with the Orange Alert;

(2) The J.A. Tyler has a recording and interview with the always awesome Apostrophe Cast; and

(3) Our boy Mel Bosworth's new collection of short stories and flash fiction When The Cats Razzed the Chicken & Other Stories is now officially available for your consumption.

This is good stuff, right, totally, you don't even need to answer that, just check it out, all of it, immediately, because it just might change your life. For reals.

Pettus. Bosworth. New stuff. Life changing stuff.

Hold the presses. Is that the right cliche? Let's say it is. And let's say that Jason Pettus and the crew at CCLaP have a new joint out - The CCLaP 100 - as does the always handsome and bearded Mel Bosworth - When the Cats Razzed the Chickens & other stories - and we are thinking that you may just want to order both. Like right now. Will doing so change your life? Maybe. So why not hit it? There you go.
