It's the last day. The last chance. For This Book Tour Will Change Your Life. Yes, Day Thirteen is upon us and today we finish up with the J.A. Tyler.
Quasi-disco and Emo-length blog titles aside, it's true, it is Day Thirteen, the last day of this wonderfully self-absorbed journey we called This Book Tour Will Change Your Life. We really appreciate all of the hospitality and kind words we have received along the way. We hope that we have changed lives, many lives, ideally in good ways, though if we changed any lives in bad ways, we hope it wasn't too bad. Today we visit the always cool J.A. Tyler where we riff on the future of publishing and then it's done, way done. So, many thanks to CCLaP for organizing this and giving Repetition Patterns a home and if you, and you know who you are, are so inclined, please feel free to revisit the entire tour below.
Day One - Pete Lit
Day Two - stand By Bert
Day Three - So the devil and a circus walk into a bar
Day Four - What to wear during an orange alert
Day Five - Does this font make me look fat?
Day Six - Michael Fitzgerald
Day Eight - Bigmouth Indeed Strikes Again
Day Nine - Chicago Literary Scene Examiner
Day Ten - Jason Riley
Day Eleven - In The Nick of Time
Day Twelve - I don't know what I'm Talking About
Update: And would you look at this, for the same low price, you also get an official tour round-up kind of thing from the good people at CCLaP. Sweet.

We don't know what we are talking about. We do know though that this is Day Twelve of This Book Tour Will Change Your Life.
Quite thrilled to let you know that it is Day Twelve of the tour and that today we are meeting with good friend and wonderful writer S. Craig Renfroe of I Don't Know What I'm Talking About blog fame. We talk self-marketing and all the wonderfully compulsive things one might go about doing when self-marketing, including but not limited to channeling Gary Coleman. As always, we hope you will come by and visit, and then after you do, maybe also imbibe in some CCLaP love, not sure that sounds right, obtain a copy of Repetition Patterns, if you have not already done so, and then, then, hopefully join us tomorrow as well when we visit with the quite rocking J.A. Tyler for the last stop on this quasi-epic, yet not so much, journey of book tour madness. Sound good? Sweet.

It is Day Eleven of This Book Tour Will Change Your Life and we are Living La Vida Ostdick. In a big way.
Repetition Patterns is apparently the gift that keeps on giving and so here we are on Day Eleven of This Book Tour Will Change Your Life hanging out at In The Nick of Time and Living La Vida Ostdick. We are also podcasting and riffing on everything from from the word azure to Linda Barry and the CIA. Please join us won't you? Cool. Please also consider swinging by the CCLaP and then after you suck down your fifth or sixth Red Bull maybe join us tomorrow as well when we head south and visit with the Renfroe where we will talk self-marketing, self-absorption and saturation. Deal? Nice.

A quasi-AWP round-up, massive shout-outs and the new edition of this Podcast Will Change Your Life - No Screendoors. Nice, right? Totally.
AWP has been going for days and we barely scratched the surface in terms of events and networking. We did make two stops though and had much fun that we want to report on. First off, we hit the Orange Alert reading at the Book Cellar on Wednesday night and while there were many great writers both reading and hanging-out at the event we want to especially highlight long-time TBWCYL, Inc. favorites Jason Jordan, who read a killer piece of epistolary prose and S. Craig Renfroe, who we have not only published in This Zine Will Change Your Life, but who stars in the new and quite rocking edition of This Podcast Will Change Your Life - No Screen Doors; recent favorite, the awesomely dashing and black-clad John Domini; and new found kick-ass favorites Barry Graham of Dogzplot who read from his new slamming book The National Virginity Pledge and Peter Schwartz he of the wonderful poetry and singing voice. And last night we hit the Featherproof after-party blow-out and again, while there was much literary and musical love to be found we do want to highlight Amelia Gray of the new Featherproof flash-fiction collection AM/PM, quite funny and awesome; local playwright Chris Bower who is nothing less than spell-binding every time we see him; once and future rockstar Kyle Beachy of the terribly buzz-worthy new book The Slide, which we will be sure to report back on as soon as we read it, which will be soon, for sure; and last but not least, singer and too cool hip hop dude Serengeti, who ripped it up. Many thanks sir, we were floored. As we were all-week. Long live AWP.

Vacation. Reading. Vacation. Some writing. Vacation. No blogging. For real. We think. And happy holidays.
It's true we're heading off on vacation for the next week, we're shutting down the office and we don't really plan to blog, sorry, much less go on-line much at all, which we think we look forward to, it means less RedTube sadly, but it also means less time compulsively visiting ourselves on Goodreads which can only be a good thing. We will write, we have to write, right, of course, and we definitely plan to read, especially the novel Talking Heads: 77 by new friend and wonderful writer John Domini. It did occur to us, however, that if you, our devoted fans and customer base, don't have This Blog Will Change Your Life to read during the week, you may require some kind of additional options or outlets, other than RedTube, and so we have taken it upon ourselves to offer you the following literary possibilities, all of which are pieces by writers we love and we think you could love to. So, happy holidays, have a good week, we will miss you terribly, and enjoy some writing we think just might change your life: Stick by S. Craig Renfroe, Jr. at 3:AM MAGAZINE, who we believe has been grading papers, but we could be wrong; Holy Crap: The Unhappiest Place on Earth by Eric Spitznagel at Vanity Fair, yes that Vanity Fair; Alleys are the Footnotes of the Avenues by Pete Anderson at Shoots and Vines, and we know, we've been name-dropping Pete all week, what are you going to do; Iron Lung by the nicely bearded Jason Jordan at Red Peter; Sand #1 by J.A. Tyler at Word Riot, the J.A. Tyler; and last, but far from least, Brothers by Nick Ostdick at VerbSap, and big props to Nick for finishing his penultimate semester at school, nice work sir.

So VAIN, so geeked.
Are we so geeked that the Fall 2008 issue of VAIN magazine that we here at TBWCYL, Inc. had the opportunity to guest edit is like totally available? Yes we are. Are we thrilled that the whole crew from This Zine Will Change Your Life had the chance to participate in this project as well? Way. Are we especially happy that there is work published in this issue by many of our favorite writers at the zine - J.A. Tyler, S. Craig Renfroe, Jr., Jill Summers, Corey Mesler, Chad Halliday? Totally. And is there anything else to say? Yes, many thanks VAIN, working on this was a lot of fun and we are very grateful for the opportunity.

There is much Most Likely You Go Your Way and I'll Go Mine love to be had by all. And it is much appreciated.
We are quite thrilled, and humbled, yes we do get humbled, by some very kind shout-outs for Most Likely You Go Your Way and I'll Go Mine from wonderful writers, and not so bad friends, Pete Anderson and S. Craig Renfroe of Pete Lit and I Don't Know What I'm Talking About blog fame respectively. Many thanks gentlemen. And did we mention that we find all this quite humbling? Good.

Guest blogging, massive name-dropping and much love for the quite awesome J. Kaye Oldner.
J. Kaye Oldner of the kick-ass J. Kaye's book blog invited TBWCYL, Inc. spokesperson Ben Tanzer to guest blog today, which he has done, and despite his great desire to endlessly and shamelessly feed his massive ego and talk on and on about his writing prowess and massive successes, we here at headquarters decided that it might be more appropriate to temper that a bit and focus on all of the wonderful writers, bloggers and friends, new and old, we have met, connected and re-connected with during the last year as Lucky Man has shown some legs and Most Likely You Go Your Way and I'll Go Mine has found a home and been released. Which is not to say we didn't take a moment to hype our awseomeness, or stroke our beloved narcissism, just that we thought we would cast the net a little more widely. So, many thanks and much love to J. Kaye, this was much fun.

Meet the Author - The Orange Alert Press interview.
Our most generous publisher and good friend Orange Alert Press has reached out to interview "Most Likely You Go Your Way and I'll Go Mine" author and TBWCYL, Inc. spokesperson Ben Tanzer about the new book, the Chicago literary scene and what the future holds for said spokesperson. We think you may find this interview interesting and we think you may even find yourself name-dropped, especially, though not only, if you happen to be named Elizabeth Crane. Of course we think a lot of things. That said, if you are so inclined you are invited to take a look at the interview on the Orange Alert Press blog. Will it change your life? It might. Either way though, we hope you enjoy it.

God is a janitor, or a quasi-This Zine Will Change Your Life S. Craig Renfroe sneak preview kind of thing.
We have stumbled across a most awesome double-dip of TBWCYL, Inc. love that in turn provides you our loyal readers with a surprise quasi-sneak preview of the next edition of This Zine Will Change Your Life. The current edition of Monkeybicycle, a great favorite of the staff here, is running a piece by yet another TBWCYL, Inc. favorite S. Craig Renfroe, Jr. titled Revelation, and wouldn't you know it, but S. Craig Renfroe, Jr. also happens to be the author we are focusing on in the upcoming edition of TZWCYL. Craziness, right? Way.
