We are Fab 5. Sweetness.

Quite geeked we are to be included, along with the Suzanne Burns, in the new edition of the DOGZPLOT Fab 5 series, where authors are invited to share the five pieces of their work they wish could get a little more attention. We chose to focus on pieces that ran in Thieves Jargon, decomP, RAGAD, THE2NDHAND and Dogzplot itself, and we are most appreciative for the chance to do so. Big thanks Dogzplot, drinks, and dogs, on us, when next we meet.

What We Thought We Knew, a Binghamton story, coincidentally, and sort of conflictually, for us anyway, hits the Blue Print Review at an odd time.

We wanted to let you know that "What We Thought We Knew," which is one of the original Binghamton stories we wrote and was first published by the now sadly defunct RAGAD literary zine, before being included more recently in our short story collection Repetition Patterns from CCLaP, has been re-printed in the wonderful new issue of Blue Print Review, and we are quite appreciative, though conflicted about the timing which feels sort of odd given all that has gone down there this past week.

RAGAD reading love, YouTube, robot girlfriend roundtables and This Podcast Will Change Your Life, Episode Five. Not bad, right?

We had some killer RAGAD reading love Saturday night, many thanks as always to the ever-luminous Nick Ostdick for making this happen, and then recorded This Podcast Will Change Your Life, Episode Five - Robot Girlfriend Roundtable, which stars a posse of Chicago (and Pittsburgh) literary and arts culture rock stars including Nick, Amy Guth, Jason Pettus, Jason Behrends, Jason Jordan and Tim Hall. Tim also shot some video of the gathering which can be found in several parts on YouTube, though for a sneak peak, you can take a look at Part One below as well. All-in-all a great night, and a most awesome multi-media assault. In fact, all we are missing is more Jill Summers, who read as well, and who totally rocks it, but who we failed to grab for the podcast. Next time. For sure.

The Ostdick, CCLaP and the Chicago literary scene.

How nice is it to run across yet another intersection of TBWCYL, Inc. favorites? Very nice indeed, and this time it comes in the form of the new CCLaP podcast which stars none other then the much referenced as of late Nick Ostdick in discussion with CCLaP's very own Jason Pettus. It is most excellent and could quite possibly change your life. So, run, don't walk, download it and enjoy.

A 50 word story, six questions and more RAGAD reading love.

The venerable Nick Ostdick invited TBWCYL, Inc. spokesperson Ben Tanzer to write a 50 word story and then answer six terribly revealing questions for a new segment he's doing on his blog In The Nick of Time called the 50 Word Story Segment. We did our best to make you all proud and we now invite you to take a look.

We also want to take this opportunity to remind you that next Saturday, April 26th, at 7:00pm we will be participating in a very cool Ostdick-led RAGAD reading at The Book Cellar. The theme of the reading is BOOZING: STORIES ABOUT ALCOHOL and there will be a most stellar line-up including Nick himself, Jill Summers, Amy Guth and Jason Jordan. It should be killer and we hope to see you there.
