Chicago Subtext and la Guth. Cool stuff.
The always and endlessly lovely Amy Guth, she of Bigmouth Indeed Strikes Again blog fame, the wonderfully not humorous novel Three Fallen Women, Pilcrow Lit Fest awesomeness and a recent edition of This Podcast Will Change Your Life, in which she almost announced something big, has a quite cool new gig, and literary blog, which we can now officially let you know about. The blog is called Chicago Subtext, it is focused on all things literary here in our very own Chicago and we think you will want to check it out. We also think it just may change your life. And we definitely think that either way you get to spend some quality time with la Guth which is always a good thing.

A warning and a Pilcrow Lit Fest "Rebuilt Books" preview.
We may be off the grid for the next several days and so we decided to not only warn you in advance, but leave you a little something extra special to muse on until our return. With the support of our top assistant Myles we have prepared our auction item for the Pilcrow Lit Fest "Rebuilt Books" charity auction next Saturday the 24th and we thought we would give you a sneak preview. The image before you may be a dress, but it also may be a storm. Or both. Either way, we hope you enjoy it.

We have officially been Pilcrow Lit Fest'd and we are digging it.
We have formally been invited to serve as a panelist at the Pilcrow Lit Fest and we are so digging it. The festival is running here in Chicago from May 22nd - May 25th with the panels on the 24th. We will be participating on three panels - The blogging panel: Web journal v. promotional tool; The low on dough panel: Self-promotion on low and no budgets and The Lit v. Tech panel - Is writing changing in a text-speak, LOLCats and Wikipedia world? Not only are we thrilled to participate, but we are quite geeked to serve as a panelist with so many old and new friends including, but not limited to Nick Ostdick, Jason Behrends, fest hostess supreme Amy Guth, Tim Hall and none other than This Blog Will Change Your Life's long-time muse and spiritual guide Ms. Elizabeth Crane. Can you say magic? And can you say, thanks so much to Pilcrow and La Guth for the invitation? There we said it.
