Lovely film. When the old codger finally turns to the back of his deceased wife's scrapbook, my eyes welled up. (Which has now happened twice - in the theater, and at home with the DVD.) As I recall, this has only happened during two other films - "It's A Wonderful Life" (when George is running down the middle of Main Street shouting "Merry Christmas!" to everyone he sees) and "Field of Dreams" (when Ray is playing catch with the old-time ballplayer, who is clearly the ghost of Ray's long-lost father). So "Up" is in rare company.

Great movie, but it made me cry. As a husband who knows he has not come close to fulfilling the dreams of his wife, Up is a hard film to watch.
We welled, plenty, and Jason, if you need to talk just let us know, we're here for you.
