Books.Books.Books.Books.Shout-outs.

We wanted to take a moment and give shout-outs to two authors who we have recently become acquainted with and books of theirs that we have just finished. First off, Shannon Burke and his already highly acclaimed novel Black Flies. Blunt and tough, with a Clockers-like vibe, Black Flies is the story of a rookie EMS worker in Harlem during the early nineties and it rocks it hard. Great read.

The second is Daniel Grandbois and his flash fiction collection Unlucky Lucky Days, a crazy, trippy, wholly engrossing collection of stories and myths about animals, insects and an endless array of found objects that we can promise you is like nothing you've read before. Both books are wonderful, both authors seem quite cool and we encourage you to take a look, who knows, it just might change your life.
