In our ongoing effort to co-opt any and all corporate marketing opportunities that allow us to hype all that is Lucky Man and TBWCYL, Inc. we have stumbled onto a most sweet opportunity which requires us to seek out your assistance. Bic has put out a "call for legends" and they are inviting people to not only nominate friends for legendary status, but briefly explain why they qualify. We of course see this as a wonderful opportunity to hype Lucky Man via somehow describing TBWCYL, Inc. spokesperson Ben Tanzer's efforts to create faux buzz for an off the radar book by a semi-obscure novelist that virtually no one cares about. Still, despite our endlessly crass attempts at grassroots marketing, we feel somewhat gauche nominating ourselves for this when the good people at Bic are so clearly trying to prove that legends actually have friends. This is where you come in. We are hoping that one of you will nominate Mr. Tanzer while invariably and maybe even unnecessarily invoking Lucky Man whenever possible. If this sounds like fun and you are prepared to further and irrefutably immerse yourself into our quasi, albeit limited Lucky man social movement, you can visit the Bic Legends site here. We thank you in advance for your support and as always we hope that this effort at least briefly changes your life.

Before I go to all the trouble of nominating, I must ask: are you an avid user of Bic pens? I assume your enthusiasm for their product would significantly boost your chances of legend status.
We are not avid users of Bic pens. We are however growing increasingly enthusiastic about the possibility of becoming avid users now that we know that you are possibly interested in submitting the nomination.
Hmmm--well, now that I know that you might become an avid Bic user based on the possibility of being nominated, I must say that has increased my interest in nominating you. Tim
You've now been nominated. Here's my nomination statement: "Ben is a true legend, for both his love of Bic pens and devotion to great obscure literature."
Cool, thank you gentlemen. Bic meanwhile has contacted us requesting our approval and we have let them know that we humbly accept our tentative stab at legendariness. We will keep you apprised.
