Mark your calenders, the release party for RAGAD #5 is fast approaching. This issue carries a superb story from our good friend Joliet writer Pete Anderson titled "Mercy Day," and this event should not be missed. Seriously.

Readers will include TBWCYL, INC. spokesperson Ben Tanzer as well as:

SPENCER DEW who lives and writes in Chicago and is the author of the forthcoming collection Songs of Insurgency, due in March ‘08 from Vagabond Press. His work has appeared widely both online and in print and he is currently working on a novel and a book length study on the work of Kathy Acker.

The aforementioned Pete Anderson whose stories have appeared in Storyglossia, THE2NDHAND, The Angler, Dogmatika and other fine venues, and he also has three novels-in-progress which he fully intends to finish someday. A financial analyst by trade, he writes fiction to ease the crushing monotony of corporate life. He lives in Joliet, Illinois, with his wife Julie, daughter Madeleine, and two literature-averse cats.

JILL SUMMERS whose audio fiction has been featured by Chicago Public Radio, the Third Coast International Audio Festival and New Adventures in Sound Art. She lives and writes in Chicago

NICK OSTDICK, editor of RAGAD, who has had work appear in a variety of publications including Slow Trains, Pindeldyboz, Word Riot, THE2NDHAND, Letter X, and elsewhere.
