Profound disappointment, an appreciation and some clear East coast, liberal media bias. Or, just another day at TBWCYL, Inc.

Wow, so the New York Times has decided that Most Likely You Go Your Way and I'll Go Mine is not one of The Top Ten Best Books of 2008. Obviously, there is a sense of profound disappointment here at TBWCYL, Inc. headquarters, not to mention confusion, and even some rage. That said, when we take a step back and wipe away the tears of frustration, it does become ever more clear to us that this is just another example of a clear East coast, liberal media bias at play, something that has little to do with the actual book itself and everything to do with where we live and choose to write. Now, we have tried to ask ourselves what if anything we can do about this, but we realize there is little to nothing one can do in the face of such an ingrained, and arguably, inbred culture, except try again next year of course. Well, that and express our great appreciation to the team at Pete Lit for listing Most Likely... as an honorable mention on their self-described "obligatory" Good Reading 2008 list. Many thanks Pete Lit, you rock, as does the mid-west. Big time.
