This Self-Portrait Will Change Your Life, Week Forty-Eight - "Readings."

It is week Forty-Eight of This Self-Portrait Will Change Your Life, our most triumphant effort to post one self-portrait per week for one year and this week was filled work travel and readings in both Pittsburgh and Morgantown. It was big fun and we want to offer big thanks to Karen Lillis, Scott McClanahan, Savannah Schroll Guz, Craig Bernier, Jim McKay, the Te Cafe and The Bookshelf. J. Kaye Oldner of the kick-ass J. Kaye's book blog invited TBWCYL, Inc. spokesperson Ben Tanzer to guest blog today, which he has done, and despite his great desire to endlessly and shamelessly feed his massive ego and talk on and on about his writing prowess and massive successes, we here at headquarters decided that it might be more appropriate to temper that a bit and focus on all of the wonderful writers, bloggers and friends, new and old, we have met, connected and re-connected with during the last year as Lucky Man has shown some legs and Most Likely You Go Your Way and I'll Go Mine has found a home and been released. Which is not to say we didn't take a moment to hype our awseomeness, or stroke our beloved narcissism, just that we thought we would cast the net a little more widely. So, many thanks and much love to J. Kaye, this was much fun.

Shades of Lucky Man at Indexed?

Good friend Jim McKay of Wabi-Sabi blog fame sent us an e-mail the other day saying that he had read a post at the most excellent blog Indexed that reminded him of Lucky Man. We of course would like to believe that the Lucky Man social movement is becoming so pervasive that even a killer and otherwise aesthetically pure blog such as Indexed can't avoid our tentacle-like reach. Still, it's hard to say for sure, so if you have a moment, please take a look here and let us know what you think. Who knows, it just may change your life.
