A fine gesture indeed, though a friend of mine pointed out that "Los Soles" would have been more accurate. Interesting to note that three immigrants played in that game - Steve Nash, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobli. I doubt if many NBA fans would deny that the presence of those three has greatly enriched America's homemade game.

True, but harder to market, David Stern would have never supported the literal translation.
