Regarding MTV, it's just as well. I'll always associate that logo with the long-lost era when MTV actually showed music videos (Music Television, get it?) hosted by the veejays likes of JJ Jackson and Martha Quinn. Now that the network seems almost exclusively devoted to trashy reality TV, they might just as well change the logo.
It may have certainly been best pre-1991 and to say we miss Marta Quinn is an understatement, but at least we had the logo to hang onto. What do we have now?

MTV officially died in 1991 when the first Real World debuted. Hasn't been the same since. Sigh.
