Look out. The Top Ten lists are coming.

We know we are behind on our 2007 Top Ten lists, but as you know, its not easy running a multi-national corporation. Anyway, starting today we want to start revealing our Top Ten lists for 2007, and today it will be books, followed by music and then movies.

Our caveat with books as opposed to say movies or music, is that not all of these books were released in 2007, because we either didn't have a chance to read them until this year, or we just stumbled into them. As we said, running a corporation is a lot of work. Still, these books are mostly current and our favorites this year are as follows:

(1) Fun home - Alison Bechdel. Just wonderful, powerful, and all things great graphic novels can be.

(2) Vacation - Jeremy C. Shipp. Wacky and weird and still not entirely sure what we read.

(3) Pride of Baghdad - Brian K. Vaughan and NIko Henrichon. Great storytelling, great art, terribly moving.

(4) Snowball's Chance - John Reed. Really cutting and brilliant.

(5) Housekeeping vs. The Dirt - Nick Hornby. We are suckers for the Hornby.

(6) 40 Hour Man - Stephen Beaupre and Steve Lafler. Much fun. And the Village People. Sweet.

(7) Three Fallen Women - Amy Guth. She's clearly cracked in a really awesome way.

(8) Ninety-Two in the Shade - Thomas McGuane. Tight, quick read, really enjoyable.

(9) Talk: A Novel in Dialogue - Corey Mesler. Knowing and spot-on.

(10) Powering the Devil's Circus - Jason Jordan. Well-done and we are looking forward to more.
